Insanity.
Why won't the "powers that be" just simplify the photo posting process. Inquiring minds want to know!
IN FACT! Setting up your avatar is: 1) post photo 2) select photo 3) apply photo
Why can't posting photos to the rest of the site be as easy?
Many, many other websites don't require posting photos to "photobucket", "imgur", or "postimage" before posting them to their site. Why here? It’s in the software.

Nobody wants your fat assed pictures.
Nobody wants to set an wait on a series of huge images to load. Time to drop your old dial-up internet and enter the 21st century. Some of us rural dwellers have few options. I'm currently paying for data by the gig. So when sumbuddy says they just don't care to take the time to resize their images for posting online they're gonna hear exactly how I feel about that. It's disrespectful of the site owner that offers to host your images for 'free' as well, just needlessly burning up other people's dollars verses taking a few moments to resize. #sizematters

First off, you don't need to be snarky. I am asking for help not rude behavior.
Secondly if the file max size is 2 mb why is it when I click on attachment manager it says "Maximum size per file is 97.66 KB" If he's gotta have it pointed out to him there is little hope to start with. 19 posts in and already showing heavy indications of being a liberal entitlist.

New to the forum.... From what I can tell so far is that in order to post a pic in a thread I have to use the attachment manager and be under 97kb, which means every time I end up having to resize... That is a huge pain for multiple pics. I looked at the image gallery instructions, but am still a little confused.
Is there a way to just embed a pic(s) without having to resize it each time? . You can choose to resize right there as soon as Post Images comes. 2 taps - couldn't be easier After Post Images has my photo, I select "direct link" and copy it. Then I paste it in my post, but it has to be framed like this That's what works for me.

I use imgur, to host my pics.
Everything I post is full size (3-5MB).
The restriction, is only on Rick's site gallery. Not specific to this inquiry, but one can also resize images in Imgur.

Many, many other websites don't require posting photos to "photobucket", "imgur", or "postimage" before posting them to their site. Why here? There is no such requirement. Correct, I can post hotlinked images, from anywhere. But, ....... I just happen to privately store "my" photos, via imgur. From the 'net;

Amazing how a simple tech question can turn into insults. I'm two posts into a new thread, and a guy I have never met, or talked to, now knows my political leanings and is telling me to "GFY". Wow you are a real winner. Certainly not the type of person I would ever want to sit around a "campfire" with, and indicative of where our society is as a whole. Straight to insults of intelligence and cursing at me. I would love to meet you in person and discuss this in a different way.... You're pretty tough for a keyboard warrior old guy. But I digress.... Lack of intellegence isn't just a liberal problem....
