I've watched/listened to John Reeves on Rogan's podcast twice now, very interesting individual and a fascinating story. He does seem like a bit of a bullshitter but that certainly doesn't make him a bad guy, at least not in my eyes. Just wondering what the locals think of him and his operation and why it gets so little attention. Inquiring minds want to know.

Reeves got lucky and had some good timing. He has the gold panning biz on the steese across from te pipeline view point. I think his daughter's run it these days and he plays with the giant at the boneyard.
Wish I knew where that is.
He used to set up a sprinkler on top of the geodesic dome in the winter. It would freeze up and the ice climbers dug it.
He also owns a bunch of old FE buildings behind GVEA on Illinois.
Maybe still owns the old Thomas? Library on Cowles.
Edit, and he was willing to take a chance at a opportunity

Reeves does have a way of telling a story and his story is fascinating. In his first visit on JRE, he mentioned bones being dumped in the East River and the bone rush he said would happen, and I thought he might be BS-ing, but bones have turned up.

Johnn Does he still have the restaurant at the dredge? Is it still open? I believe he sold Gold Dredge 8 to the Binkleys in the mid 90's. I think his daughters run the place on the steese. https://golddaughters.com/

The only project that paid off for Reeves was suing Alyeska Pipeline Service Company & getting awarded $4.5 million USD.
