I'm assuming the Remington line of gun cleaning products is just a label, so who makes the stuff?

Probably Schaefer. I think that’s who makes Walmart motor oils.

I’d assume that it gets outsourced to the lowest bidder. I’ve always liked the little bottles of Rem oil for keeping in my range bag though.

Worked at several places that have used schaeffers for decades. Severals years back was in a shop having poor performance and failures with schaeffers.
I was present during testing, demo, and decision to switch out to Texas Refinery Corp. products, The results have been impressive in many ways.
Better grease and oil by far with regular lab testing included. Other products too are great for tires(same as les schwab uses), spray lubes and coatings, hydraulic oil and seal saver. Cuts down time.

Oh I like and have used rem oil whole life, hope it doesnt change.
