A bunch of these recently showed up at the local Walmart for a pretty decent price. I am curious how this bullet compares to the Barnes TTSX. Any experience with performance on game? I will mostly be using them on deer and am thinking of trying both the .30/06 and 6.5 CM.
I know there are some on here who dislike Barnes, but my results have been fantastic with them. I and the family have used them a ton with great success on whitetails in the 150 grain .30/06, as well as killing a few elk with the round. Also, have some experience with 80 and 100s in the .257 Roberts, 130s in a .270, 120s in a 7 mag. We shoot numerous cartridges and lots of different bullets, and truthfully, spending 95% of my big game hunting time on eastern whitetails means my experience is to put about any reasonable bullet where it should go and get out your knife. I have, however, become a huge fan of Barnes so if the Winchester bullet is similar, I might give them a try.
