Anyone know if a company currently producing ( not interested in old stock ) some very slow twist are barrels in .223 or 5.56 on a non custom deal? As in they have them ready for purchase ? And when I say slow I mean 1:12 at the least 1:14 preferred .
Thanks

I don't know of any unless you can source one through numrich or sarco or some other parts house selling old surplus.

Slow as you'll likely find new are probably gonna be 1:9.

I've done lots of digging and I have yet to find one. I look every now and then I'd like to have one to do a rimfire conversion.

1 in 9 is slow, and almost useless/worthless.

1:12 worked well in Nam. Pigs, buffalo, dinks, monkeys, and even elephants.

WD, I've been following your other projects in the Bullet Casting forum with interest, what have you got up your sleeve now?

There are uses fo 12 and 14 twist. Uses for 6.5 twist. And in between. And some are very flexible.. like 6.5 shoots 52 bthp fine. Or 9s that stabilize 80s.

Its all in what you want.
