Thanks for the story book

I was told that fairly recently, a ten foot 'gator was 'relocated' due to the potential conflict between their prehistoric selves and the bird dogs. I'm no expert, but I'd rather a lab pup let me cuddle up and offer a scratch under the chin or on a bum than fight some lizard for possession of my fingers.

Thanks, Paul. I've lost count but think that my man Rog' and I first met through Rick B's joint here about 14 years ago. I think I've been down in TX about six times since the first meeting at the PINS silliness, and he's been up here five or six times to fish and hunt.

Let me know if you want to run out to Big Lake sometime and sit in a tent jigging for some char! I was gonna go today but didn't want to deal with driving out the Glenn with the snow. The next couple of weeks (and then after into March) before I have to head to Vegas for a soccer tournament I'm gonna try to be out there.

I’d shoot a ‘gator in a heartbeat, high reproductive rate, they’ll come right back. My brother in Florida has two labs and water right over his back fence. Those dogs never get their feet wet, big gator hangs out right there. No kids fishing, same deal, all because of a fuggin lizard.

I’m glad that you and Roger version 2 had a great time 🙂

Sage advice, hombre. One of these days I'd love to get together, hang out doing something outdoorsy and having a cook off or something. Your skills in the kitchen are clear. Your taste and luck with pretty girls are, too. wink

Hey Bristoe, you and Morgan are welcome anytime, brother. Betcha' that old yeller boy of yours would very much enjoy playing with a just killed bird, too. wink

Thanks to all you boys for the comments. It really was wonderful rolling deep again with STX. Man, the memories we've made together. Come June, he'll be up here behind enemy lines again, and I suspect there just might be some big fish involved.

Get after it, y'all. Only one shot at this game.

LOL ! As I recall, he was still a damn good boat skipper and fishing guide that day, though.

"Complex", with family business presently (Doug & I) & Deb at her position.

But, will not use that as an excuse.

Heading back to Aussie, in a month, to spend time with my aging Mum & Dad + Deb's Mum & a couple of select friends.
