The Standard Catalog shows that as 1986.

They were a lot cheaper, back then. I remember regularly seeing used 41s for sale between $350-500. My dad and I each bought used ones for $350, around 1993-4 timeframe. Mine is not finicky with ammo, at all, but my Dad's is. His is very picky.

Picked up one in 1970 for $125, 4 digit serial number, like new, 7 inch barrel. I don't know which I can shoot better it or my k-22, depends on the day lol
