They haven't been in the business of making them for about a decade now.

Currently, the best clones are made by Standard Manufacturing.

I love my Uberti, though. Well made. Shoots straight. Mine is in both .45 Colt and .45 ACP (came with two factory fitted cylinders).

The Uberti made Cimarron Arms ElPatron I had was a REALLY nice piece. I would not hesitate to purchase any variant again if I had a need

So you are telling me that if you are looking for a USFA revolver, you can’t find one because they are out of business?

The answer to that question is Standard Manufacturing.

The current Colts are excellent. There were a couple of periods when they were shoddy, but that hasn't been the case since the early 2000s.

May be available, but sure aren't affordable. At least for me.

I've never seen one in the wild.

I really wish people would refrain from juvenile name calling here, it’s a big part of what ruined the Hunter’s Campfire.

I don’t think any genuine Colts are currently in production. I heard the last one was made around 2011. I’d be glad to be wrong, but when I was in the market for one a few years ago, I couldn’t find a new one.

I do admit to some name calling myself but only when addressing infantile, blow hard bullies who’ve already taken it there. Not that this Excuses me...)

USFA SAA’s can indeed be stellar but you are well advised to do your due diligence before spending these current prices. At more than most 3rd gen Colt’s cost you can wind up with one that is arguably better than any of the 3rd gen Colt’s or you can get a well assembled compilation of Uberti parts from when these parts weren’t as well made as they are today. It takes some decent research to know the difference.

For the money, current Uberti’s are an excellent choice.

USFA revolvers, properly chosen are excellent.

To assume all USFA’s are worth the current asking prices is not bright.



For someone with unlimited funds who is likely to blow them all up with careless hand loading anyway it probably doesn’t matter.

I suspect they are special order only, now.

Wonder what wait time is - be neat to have one. I like my Vaquero "ok" for a single action 1873 "style" pistol but...

I have one each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Colts, and a USFA. In my opinion, The USFA is the nicest. I wouldn’t own any of them if I had to pay the going prices. I believe they are all grossly overpriced for what they are, but other people obviously disagree.
