Gents, pards and bro's, thanks for all the wonderful comments, pics and gifs. Much obliged to you all.

Geno, when I get a minute I'll have to check that vid out.

Gruff, this is my first TLR-1, it is overkill.

Like you I also have a couple TLR-7's and they make way more sense. I like the little push lever better for a pistol.

But holy cry, when you are Rez bougie you get the biggest!

Got off of work early and took the P320 out for its maiden voyage.

Shot around 160-170 rounds of 115 and 124 grain without any issues. My shooting was pretty chitty as I haven't shot a handgun all winter. Finally got settled down and did a little better.

Was wishing I had brought some 147's to try when I remembered I had my 19X along in the pickup with a couple mags full of 147 grain HST's.

So of course I emptied the Glock mag and filled the Sig with 17 or 18 rounds and shot this slow, off hand group at about 12-13 yards. Again, I am NOT much of a pistol shooter but was happy enough with the result. Obviously I need to tweak the dot a little but at least it was consistent.

A roper I am not.

Not in the traditional horseback sense anyway. I am decent at roping young calves(on foot) when we're feeding. We try to ear tag and band every (bull)calf before branding for shipping purposes.

Way easier to pair off semi-loads if the calf has a matching ear tag number to the cow.

Had a couple young guys horseback last May helping with the roundups. Amazing ropers, it was great watching the old ways at work. Fast and sure.

There's a big ranch across the river and they have a bunch of Mexican cowboys, which from what I've heard are really ropers.

I'm more of a farmer/rancher than an actual cowboy. Some guys can do it all, not me!

Yes Mexicans are good vaqueros for sure. I have a friend with a massive ranch down on the border. The ranch has used those boys since the beginning. I’ve been down there and watched them train and use those horses. Amazing, none better.
