In my search for comfortable wide boots,

I got a pair of Hanwags.

The fit is good, but the factory insoles may was well be cardboard…

Ordered a pair of green Superfeets.

Not impressed..

Google says the keen k-20 insoles are good. Currex is another that’s mentioned some.

How much difference is there in the $10 Amazon insoles vs the $50-100 insoles?

Looking for cushion in the fore foot. My heels are good.

Maybe I’m expecting too much that they should feel like my Hokas.

I just got three pairs of Dr Scholls, WORK, insoles that I am liking very well, in my everyday medium weight walking/hiking boots.

The green Superfeet work okay for me. But in my experience they’re too ‘aggressive’ in the arch for a lot of guys. My go to lately are the Superfeet Trailblazer Greens. More cushioned and less aggressive.

i wear a pr. dr.soles 1st pr. put on and then a thick pr. of good wool socks works best for me. but those Super feet insoles above me look good too.

Our podiatrist recommended these for both my wife and I. One of the best $40 I've ever spent. Actually I have 3 or 4 pair so I don't have to switch them when I change shoes.

The SF Trailblazer is a bit thick - it takes up too much room in my Crispis. Too bad SF quit making the Guide insole - they were the ticket. I have 2 extra pairs of the Guide but the supply has dried up. I use the SF Run series in my running shoes. They are less rigid than other SF but they work well. For pure cushion, I use the Sof Sol insoles. They provide great cushion but not much 'support'. They are also volume eaters if need be.

Those Powerstep look good.. I'll need to try them.

Sheep feet

[spoiler][/spoiler]SF Green do have an aggressive arch and are too much for me. I mostly use SF Blue. Very much depends on the shoe or boot. I have high volume feet and have watch that an insole doesn’t make the fit too tight.

Sole: Heat in oven until patch on bottom changes color. Put in boot and then put foot in boot. Comes in different thickness.

I could see that being the case with certain boots/feet. They are a little thicker and more padded than some of the older models. But they do thin out some with use.

When it comes to insoles, I muchly prefer Lathrop synergy to anything else I've tried.

A friend bought these a year ago. Talked with him at DSC this year. Hands down the best he has had. they are on the list for me at some point.

I have a couple pairs of the Sheep Feet. Very happy with them and they are just as custom as what you'd get from a podiatrist. More options too.

I like the superfeet (hike footbed) which is new in the last year, i run them in hangaw alaska gtx and kenetreks

Easyfeet on amazon. Great for the money

I have good success with these in steel toes and hiking boots.
