I may be wrong but I believe they did.

Cabelas called it something like a "Supergrade Lightweight" or similar.

Yes, they did. You are both correct.

Cabela’s had white a few limited M70’s around that time - including a 300 wm and 458 wm.

Here’s the 257:

Beautiful rifles indeed - does anyone have a real vs spec sheet weight on them (the 7x57)?
Thanks,

I bought the last supergrade 7x57 at my local Cabelas.
Marked down to $895 brand new in the box.

Mounted a Zeiss Conquest scope and loaded up some Barnes LRX and it shot a perfect clover leaf 1" high at the initial 50yard sight in.

That is the most perfect initial performance I ever saw from any rifle at any price point. Have used this cartridge since 1981 so have a fairly favorable view of both its competence and utility.

You got a great price! They do shoot though, I have been very happy with mine.

This thread is the reason i went to the www and typed in Model 70 7x57 for sale, well, it was a Model 70, and a 7x57, just not a Super Grade Featherweight, may have to get one still.

Thanks Gunner. It is a nice little rifle, looking forward to shooting it some more as I clear up some other projects.

I may have missed it, but what's glass? It looks like S&B.

It’s a S&B 6x42 with the #4 reticle in it Mike. Pretty good scope for that rifle. It’s the Hungarian version, wished I’d gotten a few more of them for what I gave a few years back.

I do have to google the adjustments since it’s not in English whistle
