I was visiting my cousin one day and one of his barn cats got into my truck and hid in the back seat. The next morning, I was on my way to work and that mf'er came leaping over the seat and landed right next to my leg.
I about had a cardiac arrest at 70 mph!
Good thing it decided not to piss in the truck but pert near killed me anyway.

I’d use something like nature’s miracle and an ozone generator. I had let a suburban sit for over a year before I fixed the mechanical issue and during that time it got a musty odor. I wiped everything down good with lukewarm water and bleach but it didn’t totally get rid of the smell especially when I cranked the heat. I borrowed an ozone generator from my brother and ran it for a few hours with the windows up. I then aired it out and ran the OG for an hour with the heat blasting and left the windows up so the inside would get “bathed” in the ozone.
It eliminated 100% of all the musty smells. I had our son smell it after and he said he thought it smelled like a new car. Ozone generators work awesome!

How did a cat get in your truck? Stupidity. I left the widow down too far, which I never do, but it only takes once. LOL

Odor ban you can get it at Sams or other places.
Just mix it with water and spray, might take several times but it does work.
Had 2 toms go at it in the 63 chevy i forgot to roll up the windows on.
Man it was bad.
Took about a week but it smelt like old chevy when done and we always keep a gallon around just in case.

Today I soaked the seat covers in detergent and used a stick to stir them around in the washing machine. I didn't want to use the agitator due to the foam in the covers. I am using the washer to spin dry them between soaking. After two soaks and rinses, I soaked them in 30% vinegar that's supposed to kill odors in clothing among other uses. This stuff is potent. I'll do an update when they dry tomorrow.

Well it looks as though the 30% vinegar did the job. after I rinsed them out, the vinegar smell was gone. The real test will be when the cab of the truck is shut up for a while. I think it will be back to normal. Just thought I'd update in case anybody has the same thing happen to them.

A simple rabbit box trap will catch problem cats. No Idea how to eliminate the.smell.

For the annoying odors that linger around i have had good luck with dryer sheets, get a box of 25, 40 or however many is in the small box. Take out of the box and put under the seats, does a great job of absorbing the odor.

Good thing it decided not to piss in the truck but pert near killed me anyway. You probably had to change your shorts and clean the driver’s seat after that! 😂

Heck, just sprinkle some dry Baking Soda all around inside the vehicle and shut it up tight for a day. Vaccuum the next day.
