And Simon Kenton.

I'd like to see more Master and Commander Napoleonic sea battles. There's 19 more books to work off of. Probably too expensive needing a man of war or three.

Two that I wish would be made, but will never happen:

A movie about Nathan Bedford Forrest. No BS. Just show what really happened at Ft. Pillow and leave it at that. No need to embellish anything. The story and the action is all there.
No clue who would play him.

A movie about Erwin Rommel, played by Ed Harris 20 years younger.

That would be a fantastic movie if they concentrated on the people involved and didn't make it just about a bunch of ships running in and out of smokescreens firing guns and torpedoes at each other. No work of fiction can match the true level of bravery and self-sacrifice shown that day.

Most audiences wouldn't know the first thing about it so it would need to be set up with the proper historical context and background to show why those men were in that position and fought as hard as they did. But done right it could be as good as Saving Private Ryan.

Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery.
Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
