I just had a .264 Win Mag completed by Mark Penrod. It used to be a .338 Win Mag that I successfully used on 3 trips to Zimbabwe. I've always wanted a .264 and haven't used the .338 for several years. I thought I'd get more use for it as a deer rifle in .264 -Kreiger 1-8" twist barrel @25" -Echols Legend (McMillan) carbon fibre stock with hidden cross bolts -checkered bolt knob -checkered bolt release -restyled tang -Williams extractor & bottom metal -Leupold VX5 3-15x44 Firedot Scope -S&K rings/bases (had to go medium vs low to clear bolt handle)

Ngrumba,
Beautiful rifle!
Just out of curiosity anyone have an idea who makes that rear bag? Mark does his own metalwork. He’s a master at it.

That’s a work of art! Functional art… Congrats!
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

That rifle turned out super. Unbelievable lines. That rifle is a joy to look at. What contour barrel ? Let us know how it shoots. Where did you get your extractor ? Hal

Other than the bolt being on the wrong side that is a stunner! The bolt is perfect exactly like it is. Don't listen to him...except for where he said it was a stunner. He did get that part right. Just out of curiosity anyone have an idea who makes that rear bag? Looks like an Edgewood: https://edgebag.com/products/original-rear-bag

Beautifully put together. How long ago did you get the stock? Enjoy that classy rifle.

The contour is a Penrod design he sent the specs to Kreiger to make.
I would guess it weighs a little less than 8 lbs.
Im down to one Echols stock left. At one time I had 5. The’ve gotten to be scarce as hens teeth. I have them on all my M70s. A few years back, D’Arcy told me he had to order 10 at a time to have McMillan do a run. He was 3 short, so I ordered 3 so he could get the order going.
The Williams bottom metal is off the .338. I don’t believe you can buy it anymore. I’ve got Burgess, Williams, and Blackburn bottom metal on different M70s. Burgess died- I heard Williams went out of business, you can still get Blackburn.

I have a left hand Legend stock on one of my rifles and it's a pretty nice stock to handle. I don't really like the shape of the cheekpiece, but I don't hate it either. That barrel length and contour looks real good in that stock. Balance should be decent. I'm curious as to how your chamber is throated. The standard spec for the 264 is way too short IMO. GD
