It certainly has more bells and whistles!

It should perform as well.

Did you notice a significant difference in the responsiveness of the gas pedal between the two? I had a 2019 and now have a 2024, and I have found the gas pedal on the 2024 takes much more effort to get the truck going. Yep, the new truck has a lot more bells and whistles, which I really don’t need.

How many transmission speeds in the new truck?
I think that some vehicles with with higher speed count transmissions use the first part of gas pedal movement to signal transmission to downshift without increasing fuel, then add gas. Maybe that's the lag you notice?

I lock out the multiple displacement, when I drive, that helps a lot.

As much as I liked my 2018, I wanted to get a newer one, more room in the cab and the last of the Hemi 5.7.

And since I only had 80k on it, still got a good trade in. I will be upgrading the new truck, but not in any rush just yet.

It does not have a sport mode.
