We are going through the safe to see what is left in inventory. We are tiny FFL holders and our license expires March 1 and we are not renewing it. Here’s a brand new, Remington Model 7 in 243 Winchester. It has some spots on it as shown, I don’t believe it is rust but haven’t tried cleaning it yet. I prefer you see it as is than doctored up. I will sell, shipped to your FFL in Cont US for $1375.00. Pay by Cashier Check or Money Order please

First I’ll take it here, answer any questions you might have

Thanks for looking

Does it have one or two holes in the rear bridge for scope bases?
Thanks,

Missed this photo

I used some Hoppes and nylon brush and got most of this in a minute. I believe it will clean up, does not appear to be rust

Did you determine if the gun has rust? Have you taken time to inspect and clean it? If not rust, what is it?

Firearm grade stainless is NOT rust proof.

It just takes a lot longer to happen and is much more easily prevented.

Yes they will rust. Could be cosmoline deposits. He never did say what he found or if he took time to look at what he is selling. The pictures aren’t great.

No stainless steel if rust proof, but not that likely either on a nib rifle imo, I’ve bought several new rifles with some kind of brown rust colored sticky substance on them . I don’t know if it from the turning lathe or what or some kind of assembly crud, but yes the pictures are not great at all.

It does not appear to be rust. I removed the pictured stain with Hoppes and a nylon brush. See the third screen edit. I think it’s dried packing grease or something. Thanks for looking
