My friend gave me a broken Jewell trigger.

Can someone suggest a smith that could help me fix it?

It was damaged in shipping on a barreled action. It fires when the safety is moved off.

Just curious, couldn't you just send it back to Jewell to fix it?

Jewel is no longer making triggers as the OP must know.

I saw a video on YouTube where a jewel trigger was taken apart and repaired. It was pretty involved and I abandoned the idea of doing one.

Have you tried to sonic clean it or give it a really good soak in lighter fluid? That could be a start, but maybe not the fix you need. Also, have you tried to re-set it according to the instructions?

Indeed, Jewell is out of business. I’ll give it a good soak, couldn’t hurt.

And no… I didn’t realize there were instructions for a reset. I’ll seek that out. Thank you.

I’m up to my armpits in projects with working triggers, so chasing this thing to the terminus is less than ideal.
