My Sight Mark came with a infrared light, but it's pretty crappy. Wondering what good options others have used. Most of my shots will be under 150 yards. Thanks.

There are lots of good options but I bought this one after seeing a review compared to several others. Last night I brought my range finder and was lighting up the treeline at 715 yards very well. Shot this pig at 98 yards and it was plain as day.

You can see the illuminator out front and the Sightmark Wraith 4K mini.
I can see further than 715 yards but didn't measure anything else further.

I've got a NIB Wicked light 850 for an IR setup that I'd sell at a really good price if you're interested.

I see that they make Infrared and Red Lights. For a night vision optic should you stick with Infrared or can you also do a Red Light?

Stick with IR, the red light in my pic is just a small flashlight I use when I need to see without the scope.

I will also say that coyotes can see IR light. I shot 1 out of 4 coyotes last week and at the time, the IR light did not bother them at all. Saw what I'm assuming is the same 3 that got away with my thermal scanner last night and as soon as I turned on my IR illuminator, they checked up and would not come any closer.

I used the sniper hog light brand 850nm IR for an easy 100 coyotes.
Yes some will hold up when lighted, some will leave, or do nothing.
I believe it matters if you light them directly when turning on or if scanning toward them quickly. Either way you will learn quickly with some advance knowledge of this.
There is a difference in coyotes flaring between the 850 ad 940, maybe 850 being best.

The Armasight is an 850nm and after thinking about it, I had it focused to a small spot and when I hunted with a red light, I had better luck leaving the light on all the time.

Keeping it at more of a flood or on low might work better as well as just leaving it on.

I got lots to learn but I’m loving it.

I'm using a Sniper Hog Light Link here It works much better than the one that came with the scope.

Went out last night and caught the heat signature of something way out there by itself. The wind was blowing like crazy so I walked that direction until I could confirm it was a pig with my thermal scanner. Turned on the Wraith mini 4K and Armasight Watchman, found the pig at about 200 yards away moving in and out of some brush. Crept closer got a good shot about 100 yards away and thumped another pig with the 75 grain Hornady HPBT.

I’m really liking this setup.
