I just measured the eye relief on my 3-9X Huron that arrived today.
2 3/4" at 9X (spec is 2.5") 3 3/4" at 3X (spec is 3.7")
It will be fine on my Kimber Mountain Ascent 6.5 Creedmoor. Whats the LOP on that rifle? Or is lop not a factor? It's packed in my truck for a trip to the range tomorrow. Standard factory Montana LOP.

It's only that I find, what some people can get along with at a bench doesn't transfer over when you have 5 layers of clothing on and shooting offhand.

Great looking scope, ultra compact, eye relief is a little strange but mainly on 3-4x. The only flaw for me and why I’m selling mine is the small fov. Great glass though. Did the FOV cause you problems hunting?

I have not had FOV to be an issue and I know I have taken many shots without a full FOV. I do not shoot at running game.

Scope showed up yesterday. ER listed at 2.2-3.7". What are you putting it on? Mounted and zeroed ( in 5 shots) on a howa 1500 heavy barrel 20" .308. A gun I typically deer hunt with in timber. This latest transaction has freed up a leupold FX3 6x42 (purchased a year ago) . The leupy may be excellent glass, but clicks dont feel as sharp, and the eye relief adj ring doesnt stay reliably locked in. Read a lot of good things about fixed power scopes and thought I'd get the FX3. I did take a deer with it......but Ive been selling older nikon monarch level scopes that felt more durable. ....with adjustments that sounded and felt stronger.

You were correct, ER is a non-issue. I ordered one Saturday morning and it arrived today. My non-scientific method says it's better than my Burris FFII 3-9x in the ER department.

Did the FOV cause you problems hunting? A lot of times, that creates issues getting behind the scope and finding the target quickly. I'm not sure if he means that, but I've seen it and hated that with some scopes. Target acquisition should be instant, when hunting, without any effort. If you are searching to find the image through the scope, it's no bueno.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Does anyone know if the BDC reticle is etched or not? I'm trying to decide between the BDC at $299 or pay extra to get the #4 reticle at $454.

I am very pleased with both the rifle and the scope. It will go hog hunting in a couple of weeks.

A bit off topic but I mounted a 3-9X Trijicon Accupoint (green post reticle) on my 375 H&H a bit ago and found the actual eye relief to be greater than indicated on their spec sheet.
