The only criminal charges should be for the dog owner that’s dog attacked. She was just protecting her dog. When animals, especially dogs get enraged nothing but a bullet is going to stop them. Foot shot.

Can’t argue the outcome but a dang chit-zoo can be one of the most irritating dogs alive. Long on bark short on bite. Most owners put up with it and expect me too as well. Unfortunately the dead dog took offense. If you can’t control your animal you shouldn’t have it. That goes both ways but the chit was in its own front yard so gets the nod.

The terrier looks like it had some pit bull in it. The Black woman did the right thing. An important part of a dogs training is to socialize with other dogs. Sad deal .

Under the circumstances, one can understand the shooting. She tried other solutions, the walker was completely incapable of stopping the attack. Enough time was given to get the attacking dog off.

Sad situation, and I'm not one to support the lady letting her dog loose like that either, but she was well within her rights. Good fences make good neighbors.

Grabbing the attacking mutt by the balls and lifting it off the ground might have stopped the fight, but the dog walker probably would need a pair of his own to do that.

Maybe 20 years back we had a Cop doing a welfare check on some middle school age kids left home alone (a divorce situation) on my street. A kid answered and a boxer ran out the door barking at the Cop.
