I have a 45 caliber brass barrel derringer and intend to load .440" patched round ball in it.
I have REAL black powder, 3F and 4F to use.
I'm not new to muzzle-loading, just new to this brass barrel derringer

Can anyone recommend a charge for it? 9grs of 4F?

Use the smallest charge of 3-f it will fire.
