I have a brand new Nikon scope, still in factory box and never mounted. Monarch 3.
6-24x50 FC. Fine crosshair. Warranty replacement 4/29/16 along with factory paperwork. Old scope would not track, so sent in for repair, just before a prairie dog hunt, so bought another scope. They sent a new scope instead of repair.
Just trying to figure out a fair asking price.
Appreciate opinions.

Put it on eBay. Considering it's new in box, it'll go for at LEAST $500, and most likely quite a bit more.

I wouldn't give $50. And the answer is right in your own ad. "Factory Replacement". They have/had a horrendous product return rate. Natchez pushed a lot of their refurbs, and so many of them had to go back again, it was pathetic. They were made in the same Phillapean Optics plant that makes them all, but boy! The recycle rate on the other names is no where near as high. Nikon is out of the scope biz now. I don't even know if or how they would honor warranties. Presume Sport Optics Division was its own LLC and they just folded their tent and gave everyone the one finger wave.

I sent two Monarchs back for same issue. Wouldn't track. One came back repaired, the other came back "repaired", but still wouldn't track. My "third strike" was Electronic 4 x12 x 42 range finder model also sold under the Burris and Bushnell badges. The retical was tilted. These scopes have proprietary mounts. No rings, no way to.level. After several months of inquiry, they said "we've lost your scope" "we no longer offer that model, we will return you something comparable" "what we're you mounting it on?" I told them a target AR. They sent me a P223. I sent in a $1000 pos, they sent me back a $300 pos.

I don't think there is warranty coverage any longer since they exited the scope biz?? Correct me ; if wrong.

Think my Son sells there. Maybe he can sell it for me. Never thought of using him. Never mind eBay or gunbroker either. Sell it here in the Classifieds. No fees, no tax, good market. Price it for what you’d like to get and adjust down as necessary. You have a low post count and will be scrutinized accordingly due to recent scams. Be reasonable with those doing DD on you. Personally believe $500 is unobtainium.

If it was mine I wouldn’t let it go for less than $400. Those were/are very nice scopes. Offer a 3 day inspection/return and that should increase interest.

If it is the side focus model; they have sold on eBay for $380-514, plus tax and shipping. I was surprised.

Cecil56: By coincidence on January 20th 2,024 I bought a consigned scope that matches your description. Mine is indeed the Nikon 6x24 variable power, 50 m/m objective, side parallax focus, Monarch model. I have had it to the range on three different days and it has functioned perfectly so far. I wrote up an inquiry about it here when I first got it (buying used "discontinued" brand scopes). Anyway the asking price was $350.00 and based on other high powered Nikon Monarch scopes I have owned and do own I would have paid that for it. BUT... first I offered $300.00 cash and a phone call to the consigner allowed me to own it at that price. No sales tax in Montana. So my real world (remote real world!) appraisal would be $325.00 to $375.00 depending on what part of the world it is being sold in - and maybe a bit on what time of year its being offered for sale. Varmint and summer shooting seasons are a ways off. GLWYS I would be a player for it but I have recently (again!) sworn off buying anymore guns. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
