Flipping through channels this morning and this movie is on. The scene where Glenn Close confronts Ann Archer in the bathtub. Glen's holding the knife calling Ann stupid. The bathtub is overflowing. Downstairs, Michael Douglas is making tea. He sees the dog licking water off the floor. He looks up and sees tons of water streaming across the ceiling. Then. Then he sticks a potato chip in his mouth and walks back to the kitchen to the stove like it's no big deal. He has to wait until his wife starts screaming to investigate. Da fug? I would have been upstairs in a flash and knocked the door down if necessary, and drained the tub. I'd have yelled, "you two bitches stop fighting and get you asses down stairs and dry the water and set up some fans." Then I would have dried the floor bathroom floor. That would have been a realisitic scene.

That character's sense of priorities is way unrealistic.

Pretend people doing pretend things for your entertainment. Do not overthink it.

I know, right? That has to be the most troubling scene in just about any movie. I mean, water coming through the downstairs ceiling puts a stop to everying - including upstairts cat fights.
