This. I was lucky as a young teen to start out helping on a ranch that handled mule deer hunters. Back then in that area 30” was hardly looked at. 31-33” plus was the goal for the clients. They were measured inside spread at that time.
Great genetics back then in that area.

Though, personally, I would rather kill a cow elk than a buck of any size.
