I bought out an old time gunshop/gunsmith estate. One of the things there was in quantity was Colt Single action parts.
There's over 30 barrels, from short to 7 1/2", well used to new. Over 25 cylinders, same range of condition as barrels. More than 20 hammers. 50 or so sets of grips, including some ivory. Tackle box full of small parts.
I'd like to sell as a lot; but will sell individually on ebay if I need to; I know I can get about double the money there, but it takes time and I don't know colts well enough to do that easily.
I'm thinking $40 per hammer/barrel/cylinder, and $20 per grip set for $4000 total. All the small stuff included in the deal at that price. Plus, whatever it costs to ship or pick up in eastern Oregon. I also will be driving across southern Idaho/nevada/Arizona/New Mexico in the next two weeks, and could also divert to California to deliver.
I can send detailed pictures after we talk; but will not take individual pictures and inventory; nor will I look for individual things that someone wants to buy. This is truly wholesale lot, wholesale price; if it gets to retail, then I'll post individual parts that way.
Nice, be awsome if you can take a distace photo with all showing. , i have a bunch of SAA parts came from a fellow who dad worked at colt. Lunch box parts that were rejected and dumpster bound. Mostly the blue didnt take as should. Were not large parts , internals.. . Bolts,, triggers bolt springs, hands, screws, couple hammers . Just have to watch these older if used for warn or broken . 4k probably not bad if a lot of good condition stuff . Thanks .
Of course, everyone wants pictures and an inventory. So, spent the morning sorting and laying them out; pictures below:
In the process of sorting, I of course was able to recognize and remove some of the damaged parts, clones, and the more valuable and easily salable stuff; that work is what I was trying to avoid by selling as a lot. So, the lot is a lot clearner, more organized, and now priced at $3000. I have a member that messaged earlier with first dibs on it once the pictures come out; but I'll take backups and if he doesn't want it, will go to the backups in order.
There are now about 15 barrels and cylinders and about 14 correct hammers; the other mismatched and clone ones I pulled out; the hammers included are the ones that are shown upright with the knurling showing plus one in the parts bin.
