Gents a few questions for the Python experts if you please.. I have been told these are the correct Pachmyer grips issued with the electroless nickel finish.. Does the grip screw seem correct seated that deep or am I missing a nut or some type of female insert on the off side? upload image freetemporary image upload

Good Morning Cert,
I have dragged out all my old Pythons and perused my Seven Serpents Book. I have not seen Grips anywhere were the screw is seated as deep. I believe the mold is out of whack and has allowed the screw to seat very deep.

Those appear to be the correct grips for your revolver. As for the insert, the grip screw may just be over-tightened.

Thanks for the replies guys..I don’t feel I have them overly tight but it’s possible
I was thinking there should be some type of female hardware on the off side for the screw to gain some purchase. Was hoping somebody has the same style grips to have a look at

Not on a Python but just looked at a set of Pachmayrs and they have a small metal washer formed into the grip panel (not removable) that supports the screw head when tightened. Does yours have the same or is the screw head just tightening down against rubber?

There is supposed to be a metal ring that the screw threads into, it looks like its there in the photo, but maybe not. So yes, there is a metal ring that is supposed to be on the other side for the grip screw. Sometimes they can be drawn down pretty deep over years of taking the grips on and off...sorry, but I thought that was what I was seeing.
