Anyone using 2-3/4" TSS turkey shells? Be interested in hearing about them... thanks!

Yes, killed the one in the below picture with the apex lt20 2.75 inch #9 load. Figured he was right at 40 but turned out to be a hair over 50. I had patterned it at 40 yards and there were plenty of shot in the kill zone to make me feel comfortable enough to shoot as far as I would shoot one. My dad also used the same load on one last year at about 25 yards and it didn’t make it either! Winchester sx4 and Carlson tss choke

No doubt TSS shot has made a 20ga, and smaller, super effective! I'm asking about a 12ga 2-3/4" shell as I went ahead and purchased the Mossberg 835 turkey gun that's been on the consignment rack at a gun store I go. It's as new (person probably fired 1 3-1/2" 2-1/4oz load and said forget it!), factory woodland camo, 24" barrel, and factory extended turkey choke tube. The price was just something I couldn't say no to ($275 out the door)! Lol! It will be a great backup or loaner. But also, absolutely no interest in a 12 gauge 3-1/2" turkey shell (definitely something I neither need nor want), so looking at 2-3/4" varieties of TSS shells. If I only go to WI this year, I have until the second week of May to wait for my "season". Unfortunately, FL isn't going to work this year, but cousins in MO are sayin C'mon down! Thanks guys!

I have a friend who is a serious turkey hunter (as in grand slam in a single year, all DIY on public land). He has studied TSS and loads his own. He says 9s provide adequate penetration to at least 70 yards.

Yes I shoot a 2 3/4” 1 5/8 ounce load and a 2 3/4 2 ounce load out of a Win 1300 with an 18.5” barrel and Indian Creek 665 choke. It’ll kill them to 50 yards no problem.

BrowningGuy88, purchase or load your own? If purchased, what brand? I've found an Apex 2oz load and a Salt Creek 1-5/8oz load, both sold out in #9 TSS.

I have shot foxtrot and apex in the 2.75” 2 ounce loads. I prefer Foxtrot when it comes to boutique loads.
I load my own 1 5/8 ounce loads
