I have a NULA .50 cal muzzleloader. I was curious if anyone has found a replacement breech plug? Is anything made better than the original?
Thanks

Never saw one advertised. I’ve been told by factory reps that plugs will last anywhere from 500-750 shots before they start to erode. Given that NULA has been sold, I’d contact the old shop, which has been taken over by the Melvin’s workers and see if they can provide you with a spare or two, while the gettin’s good. https://outkastarms.com/
What fresh Hell is this?

Thanks Is there an issue with the OEM plug? Honestly no, i don't shoot it much because fearful of burning it out. I figured maybe there was a rifle primed option available.

Heck I can't even handle the shotshell primers with my digits when I need to, CF primers are too small. I wouldn't worry about shooting out the plug; I'm sure any reputable machine shop could carve one out for you or like posted above, talk to the outkastarms.com guys.

They must be busy. it's nothing pressing, I only have maybe 50 rounds thru the rifle. When I made the post, I was wondering if there was something better out there for the ignition system. Upgrade so to speak like an Arrowhead
