This rifle comes with a brake. In 308, Winchester says that the barrel is 22" long. Does that include the brake? How long is the barrel with the brake removed?

I only remember a formula re BSA sporting rifles from the fifties era. If the brake was integral with the barrel, the O/A length was applicable. If not, where the rifling ended was considered the factual "barrel end". No idea if that still applies and of course the "Rule of Murphy" as "It depends...!

Interesting hearing the current formula, if there is 'a' single one!
