Not a very substantive thread, but I find myself killing time looking at WW2-era Camillus scout knifes on Ebay. Anybody using a vintage scout or SAK for EDC?

I edc a SAK in my left front pocket. Toothpick tweezers flat head, large blade ( utility) small blade ( razor sharp ) for times when a scalpel is needed. Larger flipper always on my right side but the sak is always present.

I often have a Victorinox Alox of some variety stuck in my left front pocket and a clip-on folder of some type in my right front pocket.
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

I have a Camp King, and a Forest Master old scout-type knives, but don't carry them much anymore because of sentimental value. I often carry a Vict. Farmer, or one of several USGI demo scout-type knives I have. Only one is a Schrade, and the others are Camillus. I bought my young nephew the Marbles version some years ago, and it's been a good tool. Good sharp main blade. Probably chy nah although it isn't marked as such. I had several SwissBucks that Wenger made for Buck before being absorbed by Victorinox, but gave away all but one to relatives and friends.
Just me- I ain't much on the multi tools. I had one of the first Leatherman tools that I saw in this area, but didn't really care for it as a substitute for a one-and-only carry deal. I still have a Leatherman Mini from years ago still sleeping in my hunting box where it's been for a good while.

I sometimes carry my cub scout knife (made by Camilius) that my mom gave to me when I was 7.
I'm surprised I haven't lost it.
The blade is loose so its a random sentimental carry. I have my only knife scar on my hand from that one...
I'd love to find an Boy scout knife, but my Alox SAK's are so thin in pockect.

I carried a SAK for years in the Army. Most guys I knew got the smallest one that had scissors so you could trim your mustache with it. I also carried a demo knife for a while. https://www.navigatetoyouradventure.com/2014/01/camillus-demo-knife.html Not comfortable to use but we had a bunch issued to my team so they were basically free. You could get a lot done with either of those and an issued K-Bar. Okie John
If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

The Buck 442 is my preferred EDC.
