NRA very good to excellent condition. Vintage circa 1980. Fully functional and a pleasure to shoot. Only Missing two butt plate screws.
$1395 firm includes period-appropriate butt pad, sling; also shipping, and insurance by Fed Ex. Incl weaver bases.
Will PM only those very interested and inclined to buy.
Thanks.

I'm assuming this is what we refer to as a Brush Gun model and not a 99-A...?
What is the story behind the no butt pad?

My understanding is it has been referred to the 99A or the 99 358; maybe 99 Brush Gun.
No checkering, smooth stock. Finger groove forend.

I’ve posted a ton of pic’s here and in the Classifieds and for some some good guns only to get the tire-kickers.
If someone is seriously interested by the description, I’ll send them 20 pic’s.

Finger groove forearm is a 99-358, aka Brush Gun. The 99A would have a schnabel forearm. Popular guns.. good luck.

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

OP said he would send pics to anyone interested in the gun.
A very reasonable position.
I am not interested in the gun, so no reason for me, or others not interested in the gun to see them.

Gent’s, thanks again for all your comments. I’ve probably posted 5k (a little hyperbolic Im sure) pics here on one forum or another since 2004. I can post pic’s. I’ve posted above what I have and the price. Knowing that, if someone is seriously interested, he could get 20 pics tomorrow. It’s really that simple.
It’s not a collector’s model but an excellent 1980 vintage 99 in 358 Win, which makes it fairly desirable. Especially for a 99 aficionado to use for deer or elk. Or just to hold and rub with a soft cloth.
ETA: FWIW, I’ve seen this model and chambering, in this condition, go for a couple of c’s less than $2k on GI. Several times lately.

Good deal. And, see there, you didn’t need pictures in spite of our advice. Ha! DF
