Hello all, I have such an enlarged Prostate that I can’t get more than about an hour and 15 minutes sleep at a time at night. My prostrate is encroaching on my bladder thus reducing the volume it holds. I’m taking .4 mg Tamsulosen 2x a day and Finasterude once a day. My Urologist says they are “ throwing the book at me”. I tried some Saw Palmetto but ran out before I could tell for certain there were any benefits. I’m sure at least some of my friends here have been where I am. Have you found a natural treatment/remedy which works? I would love to have a normal nights’ sleep. Thanks for any help you can offer, Rick

Go get a biopsy as I went through this 7 years back. Prostate cancer and 44 days of radiation and I'm still kicking. After the rad I s hit my pants for about 3 months as it undoubtedly worked on my colon but that all went away. At 84...I just think about what it was like at 40!

My PSA was 1.3 a couple of weeks ago. No indication of any cancer. I have put in weight the last couple of years. You may be into something there. Thanks, and keep um coming, Rick

Not natural, but there is a procedure where they microwave the prostate. I forget the medical name for it. Not fun, but better than surgery. Mine was done in the doctors' office.

Rappaflo and Calais once daily is getting me 6 hours straight of sleep instead of getting up six times during the night.

Stay away from any antihistamines they are proven to cause enlarged prostate issues. Just type in antihistamine and prostate and you will be kinda shocked.

I use a combination of three items
The most important item can be purchased off Amazon; it is “NOW Clinical Strength Prostate Health” - contains Vitamin D-3, Zinc, Selenium, Saw Palmetto Extract, Photosterois, Stinging Nettle, Quercelin, …
Second most important - tamsulosin - daily, or at least pretty regularly.
I occasionally take Cialis 5mg - one pill every ten days or so.
If I am off these meds and have flushed them out of my system, I will get up 5 or 6 times a night. Whereas I will sleep all through the night when I have been taking these meds for a few days.
I am age 64.5; I have had prostate problems since I was age 27; had a weak urine stream these 37 years; my prostate is enlarged; my PSA has been in the 7 range for at least 10 years; I have had a prostate biopsy which was negative. This combination I am now taking is the first effective solution I have ever found.

This works. https://prlabs.com/men-s-performance-edge.htmlWas on Tamsulosin, but I didn't like the side effects - pinpoint pupils/night blindness and a terribly runny nose.

Not natural, but there is a procedure where they microwave the prostate. I forget the medical name for it. Not fun, but better than surgery. Mine was done in the doctors' office. Cooled thermotherapy. Stick a treatment catheter into your prostate, a thermometer probe up your bung to monitor temperature, microwave prostate for 28.5 minutes in the office under sedation. Very warm, uncomfortable. About like a root canal. Not fun, but not terrible. Have to wear a catheter and urine bag for a couple of weeks. Tissue sloughs off. Urologist said 80% of patients get about 80% improvement, and it's worked for me for about 15 years. Told me there would be no sexual side effects. BS! Ejaculated blood for awhile, so that is a buzz killer. Peeing isn't a big deal until you can't, then the priority goes way up. There are various prostate treatments. Depends on the urologist's preference. TURP, rotorooter, is traditional.

When I woke up, I asked him about it. He said he had to give me more so I would not frighten al the patients in the waiting room.

OK, skip the snake oil and invasive procedures. There is a procedure called Prostatic Artery Embolization (PAE). It is non invasive and you are not put under. Dr. Ari Isaacson helped it get approved by the FDA. Insurance will cover it too.
A lot of doctors (radiologists) have started using the procedure, but make sure they are experienced. Dr. Isaacson is in N.C and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive there or fly in from TN. He is near the Raleigh NC airport and gets patients from all over the place including overseas. He has easily done well over a thousand procedures.
Look him up and look up the procedure. If you are a candidate this is the way to go. Procedure takes about an hour or two depending on your circumstance. You lay on your back and watch the screen. You leave without a catheter! A few days of some prescription pills and you are good to go. No recovery period to speak of and no cutting. The hardest pert is laying on your back for an hour after its done.
Research it.

I used to have to pee up to four times a nite. Started taking B complex for an unrelated issue. Most nites I don't have to get up at all. If I do it is just once. Just shy of 69.

"Enlarged Prostrate Treatment". Hell, I thought this was about longer naps: which, by the way, I can take because my TURP fixed my 'gotta piss every 20 minutes' problem. RB
