I had an 82S 22 Hornet that had all of the bells and whistles, inlayed/checkered pistol grip cap and butt plate, quarter rib and, of course, beautiful wood. I should have never sold it. One of maybe a handful of regrets. This 30-06 is a very recent addition. A Colton gun that appears to be unused. My Talley bases arrived on Friday so I will mount a Leupold VX-II 3-9 on it and take it hog hunting in March.

There is a similar thread with many Kimber pics in the Kimber forum on RimfireCentral.com. It's at the top of the forum and is titled "Show Me Your Kimber." Most of the rifles pictured are rimfire. Thank you for putting this up MtnBoomer.

One other thing: did Kimber produce rifles in wildcat calibers? My memory is Davis Mercantile had .22 Hornets and .223s but I also seem to remember what appeared to be new factory rifles in wildcats, too. Did they possibly chamber for things like .17 K-Hornet, 6x45, etc? They absolutely did. I suspect part of the motive doe so many calibers was the scheme that a buyer could subscribe to a serial number and have additional rifles laid back for him with that number. I expect they sold more rifles that way.

Nabbed a SVT 223 yesterday, though made on the "wrong" Coast. Hint.
Ordered a herd of Hornie 62 ELD VT's to cross fingers with,in the OEM 1-9" spout. Likely won't work, but will be Magical in The Carbon Queen 1-7" Brux 224 Grendel. Hint....................

I VASTLY prefer the 84M receiver, due the far greater COAL latitude in 223. Hint.
I tend to flog upon wares and "Collecting" is the furthest thunk away from me. Hint...................
