Universal had the writer-producer Glen Larson adapt the movie Coogan's Bluff into the series McCloud. Larson did that with a number of Universal movies, for whom he worked under contract. FWIW. L.W. Chester was a wimp in comparison. The show was part of a weekly rotation of crime dramas. Richard Boone was Heck Ramsey. Rock Hudson was in McMillan & Wife. I think there were others. Yea, a definite boomer here. I don’t think Slumlord is much of any younger. In fact, I think he and Wabigoon might be the same person. Kind of like Superman and Clark Kent. They’re both kind of always around, but you never see them together. 🤔

California I took the kids to the Ponderosa movie set back when it was a tourist attraction. It was cool for those of us that grew up watching the Cartwrights. Humming the theme song walking into the Bonanza cabin we've all seen in the series. The dining and living room with giant fireplace, tiny kitchen minus Hop Sing. It's private property now. Whoever bought that ranch has some beautiful views.
