What if Gavin Macleod from the Love Boat played McCloud? Dig up some google chit on that. Gavin Macleod wasn’t gay (apparently was quite a christian fundamentalist, later in life), but kinda always put out a real gay “vibe”. Gavin Macleod as McCloud. I bet it would have been FABULOUS….

I took the kids to the Ponderosa movie set back when it was a tourist attraction. It was cool for those of us that grew up watching the Cartwrights. Humming the theme song walking into the Bonanza cabin we've all seen in the series. The dining and living room with giant fireplace, tiny kitchen minus Hop Sing.
It's private property now. Whoever bought that ranch has some beautiful views.

Just a bit of trivia. Dennis Weaver was a Navy fighter pilot in the Pacific during WW ii.
FWIW.

"Go to the sporting goods store. From the files, obtain form 4473. These will contain descriptions of weapons and lists of private ownership."
