I don't know how long you are going to be there. If you have time, Rock City and Ruby Falls are pretty cool. If you are up for a hike, Cloudland Canyon State park has some great trails and some serious gorges. The Aquarium downtown is one of the best in the country. Wooden City is a favorite restaurant among locals and tourists alike. We ate there last time we visited and it was good. Maple Street meats was outstanding, and it is highly rated as well.

Had a business lunch at 1885 grill a few months back. Food was really good, casual.

If you're interested in machinery, check out the power head for the Incline Railway at the top of Lookout Mountain. HUGE machinery that drives the cable, and it's in absolutely pristine condition. Forget the cable car ride itself- - - -nothing but an expensive tourist trap. Ditto for Rock City!

Go up to Lookout Mtn and watch the hang gliders fly. You want calm air, or, wind from the NW at 10 mph.
Here I am launching my hang glider at Lookout. It is one of the premier flying sites in the world.

Big River Grill, downtown by the Aquarium and Lookouts Stadium is always good. Local craft beer and good food.
