I came across a CVA Scout in 243, it is stainless with a 24" heavy barrel. side is printed CVA Optima Elite, Bergara barrel, Made in Spain. any info would be appreciate. thanks

I am not sure what kind of info that you are looking for. I believe CVA and Bergara have been in a relationship for a while. CVA Scouts are well built. I consider the triggers to be exceptional. Many are surprisingly accurate.

Are you sure that is a Scout? CVA has been offering centerfire barrels for some of the so called muzzleloader models for years. I am thinking you found one of the early models of the Optima Elite. Elite meaning it could handle centerfire barrels.

thanks for the replies, going to put scope on it and attempt to get a coyote this spring. I had been looking for a newer version with 20" barrel, I had never seen one with a 24" heavy barrel.

The Optima Elite was a model they made before the scout. It was made to compete with the Encore and had switch barrel capabilities. I don’t believe they make barrels for it anymore.
