And conservatives have let all of it happen, an inch at a time over many years, hoping for partisanship, cooperation & coexistence.

There are no conservatives anymore. At least since the tea party failed. There is the far left and the middle, which I find neither acceptable. I have been doing a lot of thinking on how things shifted, in the South, to turn Solid Democrats to Solid Republican. Best I figure the carpetbaggers infilterated the Democrat Party and changed it over a long period of time. Thoughts? miles

Fast forward to today with the sharp division of the ultra liberal, progressive, Marxist, communist metro areas, especially of the east & west coasts who are absolutely bound & determined that they are going to impose their will on the rest of the country.
And conservatives have let all of it happen, an inch at a time over many years, hoping for partisanship, cooperation & coexistence.
And now we are where we are today, in a position where I don't think the ship can be turned for numerous reasons, not the least of which is the left's commitment to dominate the rest of us.
Surely the problem will not be resolved by voting or pretending that we can all be friend & get along & coexist....................it's simply gone too far & the left smell success.
Not sure what will happen................likely just a further advancement of the left's Marxist & communist agenda until there is nothing left for them to take.
Or, because of the large land mass of the country, & large areas of that land mass controlled by conservatives, Balkanization & a breakup of the Republic could possibly happen.
But that would invite invasion & attack by several possible outside entities.................so I dunno, as I cannot see a good end to the current morass......................it's been allowed to progress too far for too long when it should have been ended long ago.
Just shows that you cannot placate the devil hoping for happy coexistence.
One side or the other has to prevail, one way or another no matter the cost or the reluctance.

The Russians were subjected under bolshjewvism. America was subverted. Ultimately, I think we have suffered the most damage.
Seems that way. Like boiling frogs never notice the temperature rising. I never leaned way left but was confused when the first intellectuals I knew laughed about the best government being one that could not pass any new laws. I get it now! The Depression made New Deal handouts and big government seem essential. People were suffering. Today they are just lazy and see blacks and illegals treated royally while there aren't many opportunities, but many obstacles, to working hard. Everyone craves "benefits" and suck it up when they are ordered to take boosters or sit through DEI reeducation. Obese and dull.
