Anyone know what the advertised velocity was for the Fed Premium 338 Federal w/210NP? 2630 at the muzzle Thank you.
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

Results from the range using Alliant PP Varmint with the 200 gr Federal Fusion SP bullet. Using their 200 gr Hot-Cor bullet, Speer data lists a max load of 49.6 gr at a velocity of 2708 fps from a 24 inch barrel. Groups were fired from a Ruger Hawkeye with a factory 22 in barrel. Brass is piling up, so it's been my hope to duplicate the Federal Fusion factory loads in both velocity and accuracy. So far that's been elusive in my two rifles.
None of these were compressed loads. PP Varmint is a spherical powder and seems quite dense.
