Razorhog: I shake my head when I hear of gunshops "committing" such acts!
And I remember then in my future dealings or in avoiding them.
This particular instance is not only unprofessional and despicable it is bordering on immoral/criminal.
I am saddened by such outrageous behavior in our sport/hobby/discipline.
I do not know much about that particular Ruger 77 but if it was just a simple Ruger 77 Sporter in 22-250 and in that great condition I would guesstimate it to be $700.00 to $750.00.
The "UltraLight" model would probably bring a tad more.
That was shameful what the gunshop in question did.
Thanks to the original poster for trying to help out in this situation!
