Anyone have any insight on the Silencerco Omega 300 DTM?

I have an Omega 300. Good can, but I don't know what a dtm is...... If it means direct thread, that's the way I roll.

Anybody find out why? Seems like it was a great seller in a popular market segment.....

I've owned one can since 2015 and it's that one. I'm completely happy with it.

I was going to go with scythe ti but went with AB raptor 8 stack which was recommended to me over the scythe ti from someone who has both.

I too wanted one supressor for everything this is my 3rd and wish I could redo the first one to be more specific.

If you’re looking the TBAC Ultra 7 route, don’t over look the Dominus. Touch shorter, more volume (circumference) and has a much better, duller tone than the Ultras and Nomads I have.

Harvester EVO, WTH? First a recall and now discontinued? I have one in jail, it was the last one my local dealer had in stock. Was thinking about getting another one and this deal is very tempting.

PINEKNOT, that's a smokin' deal.

For someone looking for a one-and-done suppressor, I'd recommend buying one that has interchangeable thread mounts (for direct thread).
Likely just personal preference, but I'd not want to limit myself to a dedicated thread pitch or be at the mercy of a key mount/adapter.

I just put a Rugged Alaska 360ti in ATF jail...figure I'd just buy once, cry once and be done with it. I needed the option of something a touch larger to run on a .350 legend for the midwest...

Checkout Pew Science rankings, basically the only good place to get objective information.

Ultimately you have to decide what the longest length / heaviest weight you are willing to accept is. Unlike rifles you cannot reasonably buy/sell/trade suppressors, so it should be approached considerably more so than any other firearm related purchase with a buy once / cry once mentality.

I have the CZ equivalent of an AB Raptor 6 and a Nomad TI. I will probably sell the CZ, it just does not come close to the Nomad. If I were to buy another 30 Cal can I would not consider anything scoring lower than the Nomad TI (6.5" length / 9.6 oz). Most likely it would be a Hyperion (#1 scorer overall) or the Diligent Defense Enticer L-TI. Those cans both exceed 8". The Scythe is intriguing since people claim it is quieter than the Nomad TI and it is slightly shorter and lighter.

I have a silencerco back country in purgatory now with fingers crossed that the mythical wait time will strike me.

I am hoping the backcountry works on my 300wsm Winchester but my rifle as a little on the far girl side already.

A couple comments have been made about thread pitch- direct or adapters. If going direct is there a logic to which size threads?

Some Bbls don't have enough Diameter at the muzzle to cut a 5/8" thread and some cartridges you do not want to or can't cut the muzzle to 1/2", I have the Harvester 300 and have direct thread mounts for both 1/2 and 5/8...........

Is a 30 cal too large of diameter to work with the 1/2x28 threads?
I am trying to decide whether to thread everything at 1/2 or go 5/8 but use an adapter down to 1/2.
Is that an option?

No, 30 cal isn't too large for 1/2x28 - maybe not ideal but I'm pretty sure Kimber is doing it.
I'd just be danged certain I was working with a competent metal person to align the bore to perfection, then the thread work.

I got the suppressor through silencercentral and they offer barrel threading. I might have them do any pencil barrels in order to avoid finger pointing between businesses.

Thanks for the info.

I saw that too and bought one from Freedom Weapons, my local dealer received and replied to the FW document request so it should be in town in a week or two so I can pay the stamp and begin paperwork. I have three EVOs, this will be #4. They are affordable, short, light enough and work well. My local GS where I bought the previous three didn't have one, couldn't get one, but someone on another forum sent me the same link. Bought one for step son also (will be sent to his local GS for stamp and paperwork).

Harvester is good but I like the Hybrid 46. I have 458 SOCOM and others. But the AB Raptor looks to be my next in .375. Then it will go on 375 Ouch & Ouch, 358s, 9.3, 308 ....... RZ.

You’ll not regret it Don… I just put my Otter Creek Polonium on my 22 GT it’s like they were designed for each other.

Ordered the Polonium and a 6.5 Rex Silentium MG7 the same day, the Otter Creek cleared in 4.5 months the Rex is still in jail…. 🫣
