Fell down and busted my knee and 9ss.

Dude,
I tore a quad that way 20 some years ago. Black and blue from hip to knee. I hope there's no serious damage to either azz or knee for you.
Remember this also (voice of experience talking), as you age TRY to fall on your ass. Do not put your arm out to stop your fall if you can avoid it. Apparently, rotator cuffs are not as flexible in old age as they were when younger. One can work with a hurt ass, but when one's arm isn't working, not much gets done.
This ice crap is one thing I'm not fond of in winter. Snow is fine. Ice sucks and we'll have a lot of it in the morning the next few days. I'm looking at the Modoc Swamp right now and we're going down into the low teens in the next night or two. Yippee. Ice under the remaining snow and all the swampy parts will be slick in the AM.

Last time for me was hauling ass across a hot midday August Costco parkinglot and hit a grease patch carrying a rotisserie chicken. Immediately did my best Dorothy Hamill. Ass and knees took a hit but chicken came out unscathed.
