Hi Guys, I did a stupid thing.. Bought an aftermarket bolt handle for better scope clearance. Disasembly no problem, BUT with new handle installed cannot get bolt to cock (reassemble). I got something out of whack when I removed the firing pin assembly from the bolt body. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to compress the spring? or???

Do you have a manual? May have to go on line and see how to assemble it back together. I looked on you tube few days ago on a Marlin 336 in 30-30 and a guy showed how to take apart /back together....solved my problem in few minutes.

Mine did the same thing when I first threw mine together after replacing the handle. You probably did the same thing I did and reassembled it incorrectly. Its something to do with the cocking indexing on the bolt/firing pin. Just tear it back apart and reassemble. I used a video on YouTube to help with the correct indexing.

Guessing you have the handle upside down. If I understand your issue at hand.
