IIRC, it was a hair dryer and some PVC. Made with T and two 90's and some short sections to look like a football goalpost.

I made one of those two decades ago. Still use it on occasion.

Why not just buy a boot dryer? They're cheap enough to buy instead of building some contraption...unless one simply wants to tinker.

We have a 15 wader boot dryer at our duck camp made of a chicken house fan.

I needed one for travel. Pretty handy and compact.

You should get kicked right off the campfire for such a stupid idea! You want to spend a minute and 18 seconds on Amazon and $19.98 and not even do any welding or use a tractor to get something that works like a charm instead of spending three days, $117.64, two trips to Home Depot, one to Parts Plus or West Marine and end up with something that will make all your visitors say, "WTF is that thing," trip a 20 amp breaker on a regular basis and give your wife's family one more thing to say, "We tried to tell her how it would be with him," about? Where's your Campfire spirit man?

Where does one buy a boot dryer?

I doubt that the general store has one.

I could rig up some washing machine drain hose with a Y....

That's a nicer reply than the one I was replying to when you deleted it.

I put my boots on the dryer every day. Your body releases moisture, and that moisture makes stuff stink...dry boots don't stink. Dry boots last longer and don't fall apart on you. Dry boots hold their shape better. This goes for work boots, casual boots, work-out sneakers et al. Oh, and they have glove attachments, that dry out gloves!

As for where to buy a boot dryer, they're just about any sporting goods or hardware store... But you don't get out much..?

What a time to be alive!

Thats so not the way most boots get damp and need drying.

It's just about getting warm enough to move this setup outside onto the deck.

Those boots are clean now but we are soon entering warm cow chit and calving and if I leave the dryer in the attached garage our house will smell like an Earthy cow barn.

I also sometimes use the glove adapters. They will also sorta work if you just set them over a furnace floor vent.
