How much is a nice early one worth?
What you have done is not nearly as important as how you have done it!!! The Old Fart 2008 A.D.

I bought my .22, 25-20 and Hornet all for $400ish or less 10 years ago. To complete the quadruplet, I found a sweety of 32-20 with the top mount peep sight for $600. Most of the ones I see now and again are in that 600 to 700 range for good condition.

Always wanted a ,25-20 or .32-20 for woods walking!
How well do those oldies usually shoot?

Don't recall which variant, but there was a .25-20 Savage bolt action in Southeastern Armory in Augusta GA about a month ago.

I have both a 23B and 23C. The 32-20 is a little more accurate, about 1" for 3 shots at 100yds with a Hornady 85gr JHP and W296. Shot a lot of woodchucks with that load. They don't exit. Have a Leupold 2-7x Rimfire on the 25-20 and a Leupold 3-9x Rimfire on the 32-20. Paid $85 for the 32-20 and $125 for the 25-20 about 30-35 years ago. Now I need the Hornet.

Any limitations on accuracy will fall to sights, your ability and load development. The rifles are very capable.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

My 25-20 has Standard irons, the 32-20 has a peep and the Hornet has a Weaver K4 on it, utilizing the Weaver N mount and the original holes, so no extras.
