Most I'm guessing won't bother trying to read all the hand-scrawled notes, and I don't blame anyone for not taking the time, but I'm glad I did. The tales that get told at the club from times ranging from last year to the mid-sixties are pure gold. Members getting bashed in the head by other members with pieces of lumber, guys driving into the pond after launching off the bluff in their muscle cars three sheets to the wind, deer being chased around on foot by guys with handguns... You can try to make some of this stuff up, but truth is better, if not stranger than fiction sometimes. FWIW, these excerpts are from the first of about 60 volumes of club records. Long live the Ridge Runners.
