Richard, ice is coming off the Missouri, neighbor kid texted me the other day with a pic and said he got 2 coyotes out of a pack of four.
I texted back nice work!
The coyotes are running back and forth across the ice from the county to the south. Earlier this winter I saw 8-9 of 'em strung out crossing the river, 400-500 yards away and I was working on an electric fence right on the river bank and didn't have a rifle.

The song Cattle Call was written and stolen from a neighbor's father many years ago by Eddy Arnold. They tried to collect but back then it was done all the time.

I remember hearing one of the guys who doesn't post here anymore tell stories about coyotes congregating out on the ice, and hunting them from the air with shotguns. Dozens, or more. That must have been a wild ride.

I was working on an electric fence right on the river bank and didn't have a rifle. Why you no have rifle/sidearm? That is not proper ranch etiquette.
