This boat would fit my needs and I'm interested in buying it. It's hard to know what used boats are worth so I thought I'd throw this out there. Take a guess on the asking price and then tell me what you think is a fair selling price.

2014 Polar Kraft
Aluminum boat, Tohatsu 25 HP four stroke motor with power trim & tilt, Minnkota trolling motor, hummingbird locator, and anchor mates. Little use, like new condition and always stored inside.

Gave my boat to daughter and son in law. It was the happiest day of my boat owning life. I’d like a fishing boat like the one in your pic, mine was a ski boat.

Yes, got tired of “Wax on, Wax off”. Especially underneath the MF

I don't know the length of the boat, what HP it is rated for or how the boat is set up, but 25HP seems a little light to me. I just went from a 20 HP to a 40HP on my 16' Alweld John Boat. It made a world of difference in how the boat handled and operated with more than one person in it.

I'd do as others have suggested and check for similar boats on the net to see how they are priced. Might also check some boating forums to see how that setup handles.

The outboard is the biggest dollar item unless you go nuts with the electronics..

Based on photo, assuming its a 15' hull, Tohatsu not as desirable as a Yamaha/Honda, TM looks to be a PowerDrive - guessing 55lb, assuming the Humminbird is nothing special (i.e. old, 5 - 7")...

Around here asking would be $10K - $12K or so (if i was interested I'd feel better about staying closer to 10).

If they are asking $8.5k or less its a scam, over $13K they don't really want to sell, fishing for buyer with more money than brains...

Good batteries and custom cover would be a plus.

Nothing special layout/equipment-wise but if it checks all the boxes you're after it looks clean enough.

Indiana registered so assuming it’s never been run in the salt, subject to closer inspection in case there are problems not apparent in the picture, and not being familiar with those motors (seen them around, never had anything to do with them) my first guess would be close one side or the other of $20k. My gut says less, but the prices on boats and motors scares me these days. I was astounded lately when a friend in the business told me what I could get for my 20 year old 18’ jonboat and 90 hsp 2 stroke Yamaha, just about what I paid for it, in numbers anyway, not true value.

Looks like a 14-15' tiller job.

I'd say somewhere around $8k as it looks pretty clean.

New outboard $4-5k

Hull $2k

Trailer $1-1.5k

But who the hell knows. Until there is a real offer its a guess. Boats are all over the damn place.

Wouldn't have an under powered boat. That looks to be around 16ft, and a 25 ain't big enough. Sure, it will plane it, but load it down, and see what it takes to get it on top of the water.
It's a really big mistake in my opinion, when people buy the cheaper model with the minimum motor for the hull. Of course, bigger means more money, but I have been in boats that needed way more motor. The motor has to work a lot harder.

A couple of good estimates posted. Looks clean. Nothing wrong with a Tohatsu 4-stroke.

I'd say a fair price would be $8 to $10k.

If you can get it for less, and it fits your needs, grab it, quick.

Some of the other companies use Tohatsu engines in their outboards 25 and under. No shame in a Tohatsu.

Mercury motors under 50 are Tohatsu . My last rig was a 14.5 foot Alumacraft with a 30 HP Trim and tilt Tohatsu . With the 30 HP it was under powered . But 4 stoke out boards suck power wise. I had a 14 foot Princecraft with a 2 stroke Mercury 25 HP that would run circles around it. If you take care of your rig it will not nickel and dime you to death , if you maintain it .

Check the Coast Guard plate on transom, Polarcraft are heavy boats, assume its 1 gauge all welded and with equipment and bunks a 50 HP way under power, guess its rated for at least 75 or 90 on top end. My experience with that rig HP should be 60 +, nothing wrong with 4 stroke Yam but a 60 HP runs around 7/8K now.

We have a 14' River Hawk with a 20 hp Suzuki motor. Bought it new and has been well maintained and improved a bit. Went with the 20 Suzuki as it only weighs 100 lbs and idles down nicely for trolling. We use it for about 200 hrs per year trolling for chinook salmon. It suits our needs. Top speed is 23 mph. If well taken care of, a boat like the Polarcraft would sell in the 9-11 thousand dollar rang.
