How did a candidate gain control of the Republican National Committee? Trump's hand picked candidate that he endorsed to take over chair of the RNC, Michael Whatley, was voted into that position last Friday. His daughter in law, Lara Trump, was voted in for co-chair. 1,2, punch. The RNC is now under the umbrella of, and technically works for the Trump campaign. It needed done. Big job ahead of them to get everything headed on the right track, we will see if they make it work.

How did a candidate gain control of the Republican National Committee? The RNC was implemented as the Raise Money arm of the GOP. Its job was to raise money, not so much as to get candidates elected. Face it, Trump is the face and The Leader of the New Republican Party, as a result of the RNC’s and the GOP’s refusal to accept this, they are broke. Nobody on the grass roots level is donating funds to the RNC, most of their money goes directly to Trump and to candidates he has endorsed. Remember Trump’s Seal of Approval, that scared the schit out of the RNC and rightfully so. In the end, the RNC had to accept Trump as The Face of The Republican Party, or be destroyed. I’m guessing that Trump’s meeting with McRonmey a few weeks ago set up the conditions and demands made by Trump if he was going to align himself with the RNC and basically bail them out financially. As a result, Trump-and-Trump now control the RNC, without them it would be no more.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Trump IS the RNC. As a Canadian it's highly doubtful that you understand the full responsibilities on the RNC, and the ramifications for any small selective group to control it.
