Natchezss had Remington 9-1/2 LR magnum primers the other day.
1,000 total price $176 . I'll stick to just shooting a few rounds per year until things get better. Some people act like 'shooting addicts' OMG i've got to shoot- i don't care what it cost, i gotta shoot you really think things are going to get better, i dont

concerning smokeless powder!
I pulled an 8# container of Varget off my shelf yesterday doing some reloading and the price tag attached to the top was $185.00. Compare that to today's prices......if you can even find it to make a purchase! i have 2 jugs of varget left that i paid $164.37 for Paid 69.99 a k for Fed 7.5 BR primers last weekend.
Most all other primers on the shelf were in that 100/k area. do you.mean renington 7.5, there was a flood of remington primers the last month, for some reason not 9 1/2, did see a couple cases of 9 1/2M, but they wanted $147 a brick where the other Rem primers were at $74 a brick, you know they didnt pay more for them

Yeah, it's perplexing – prices on all goods and services continue to decline but powder is the one thing that's skyrocketed. . What prices are declining?? Not seeing that here.

Simple soul that I am, that plumb evaded me……
I’m operating under the assumption that things will get little, if any better, ever, and may well get worse, so this may be the new normal. That will require some decision-taking, especially for those running short. Shooting less is one option, or shooting other stuff easier to feed. I suspect some of the guns I see for sale ended up that way because there’s no ammo and/or no brass to be found. Glad I’m not into exotics or old woods rifles. One thing I am doing is loading up some of the brass I have laying about rather than springing for cheap ammo. That change is due to improvement in the availability of some primers, and a slight decrease in price. I also scored some primed Norma brass that will stretch my primer stash.
What fresh Hell is this?

I might try to pick up some more Ramshot or Accurate powders while they're still relatively cheap. Not cheap old prices but at $40 a lb, cheap today.
My only reason for doing so, is that both will be an alternative powder for some cartridges that will save powders that I use a lot more of for specific cartridges.
Barring that, I'm gonna continue to shoot what I want, when I want because I have plenty and can. Albeit my shooting is scaled down now it seems, just because who knows for sure what's coming? Seems kinda dumb and wasteful to me to just shoot and shoot just for the heck or enjoyment of it when I may need that stuff down the road.

I’ve not shot as much this year, mostly due to the time requirements of a new gig.
I’ve got more than enough hunting rifle ammo componentry to last my lifetime (not that it’ll keep me from trying different stuff anyway).
Pistol, AR, and match rifle componentry, however….
Though shooting is my first love, if it gets too expensive, I’ve got a bass boat, a sack full of golf clubs, and a shop full of tools and half finished projects. All of which need my attention.
I’ve also wondered if we’re not reaping the benefits of a monopoly where Hogdon is concerned.

Down to my last unopened jug of Varget and refuse to spend nearly$400 on any more
I bought 32 pounds of N140, it will work fine for what I need and was 1200 for the case to my door.
I have found 7 1/2s for around $400 per 5000. I will order a case at that price point. If I can find them for $300 per 5k I will order several cases. I am not holding my breathe for that price.
